After Your Colonic it is not unusual to feel tired after your colonics, especially in the beginning. It is best to schedule a relaxing afternoon or evening at home if possible. You will want to eat light for the rest of the day and avoid: raw foods, heavy proteins and alcohol. Remember whatever you put into your body will be more readily absorbed after a colonic. Homemade or organic soup is highly recommended.You may go 24 to 48 hours or longer, depending on your bowel movement pattern, before having another bowel movement after your colonic. This is normal. Note that when you have your first bowel movement after a colonic this will indicate your transit time.

To do an enema you will need to purchase a three-way kit: Enema Douche Hot water bottle. All can be purchased at a drugstore for about $10. To assemble follow the instructions for doing an enema. Use 4 cups of warm water (95 to 100 degrees) into the bag. It is best to boil the water first if you have time, even if you are using bottled water, to remove impurities. Try to hold the water for 10 minutes then release. If you cannot hold for 10 minutes try using less water and repeat the process. If this does not reduce or eliminate your symptoms please call me.
You must always take an acidophilus supplement, or preferably a pro-biotic when doing colon therapy to replace the friendly bacteria. Friendly bacteria are your first line of defense against viruses, parasites, fungus and bad bacteria. It is very important that you make a commitment to do adhere to the regime. You may want to increase your dosage the night before and the morning of your colonic and for the next 48 hours following your colonic.
While receiving colonic treatments it is beneficial to take Herbal Fiber Blend, or a similar product twice a day. Use a double layer of flannel, wool or a wash cloth soaked in castor oil, place on abdomen over the colon area, place plastic wrap over the cloth, place a hot water bottle or heating pad over plastic, lay down, relax and let the pack work for 1 to 2 hours. Tip: You may want to use a zip-lock bag to store cloth until your next pack.
Six Easy Things You Need To Do Before A Colonic :
Drink lots of water - the best guideline is your half your body weight in ounces. if you weigh 120 lbs you should drink 60 oz
Double your dosage of probiotics night before and the morning of your colonic and for the next 48 hours following your colonic.
The day before, the day of, and for several weeks after your colonic; eat organic soups and easy to digest foods, avoid alcohol, hot spicy foods and foods that would cause you to have gas.
Cut down on all processed foods. Examples: white flour products, cheese, dried foods, greasy foods and sugar. These foods dehydrate the colon and make elimination tougher.
No diuretics prior to colonic. This would be coffee, tea or soda. This also makes your bladder full.
No big meals prior to your treatment, fasting for several hours is recommended, but if you have blood sugar problems a small snack or protein drink is not an issue for most people.
